Personal restraining orders

In order to obtain a personal restraining order there must be a real or reasonably apprehended risk of physical harm to you or your children before a court will issue what is commonly referred to as a personal restraining order under the BC Family Relations Act.

It is also open for a court to order that a person not attend at your residence or the residence of the children.

It is also open for a court to order that you have exclusive occupation of the family residence.
